Texas Commission on Law Enforcement: This course is designed for individuals assigned to their first supervisory role. Per House Bill 3211, “…a peace officer who is appointed or will be appointed to the officer’s first supervisory position must receive in-service training on supervision…no earlier than the 12th month before the date of that appointment or later than the first anniversary of the date of that appointment.”
