The Basic Instructor Certification Course provides the basic concepts of instruction and increases the quality of professional law enforcement training and education. This course introduces the teaching-learning process, factors affecting learning, needs assessment, task analysis, developing learning objectives, preparing lesson plans, and methods of instruction. Students learn to develop and use instructional media to enhance their presentations, and techniques of developing assessment and evaluation procedures. The course requires students to demonstrate their ability to create a lesson plan and facilitate a clear and organized teaching exercise. Graduates of this course become Certified TCOLE Instructors and are eligible for applying for TCOLE Basic Instructor Proficiency.To Register
